Today, patients are better-educated and more informed compared to several decades ago. We actually welcome your questions and will answer them in common, everyday language.
You will be actively involved in your care, and may be given a choice of alternatives to decide what is best for you. Don't be surprised if Dr. Ford calls you in a few days after your visit to find out what progress you are making.
While several skin conditions are curable, many are not. Dr. Ford believes that by educating you about your condition, you can have a better understanding of how to control it. Once condition has been achieved, preventative measures may be all you need. This decreases the number of follow-up visits, costly medications, and can help prevent relapses.
